Overview
This project aims to develop a low-cost device that can be attached to any object. When the object moves, the device plays a pre-recorded sound to alert or remind the user of anything they choose. Users can record messages directly onto the device with the press of a button. The goal is to sell this for under $10 with at least a 6 month battery life. Currently, I am working on decreasing the power usage of components to ensure the battery life is where it needs to be.
Programming
PCB Design
The PCB is in the process of being designed. This first iteration will have a USB-C cord to make uploading firmware easier.
Prototyping
- Includes 2 MOSFETS to control the power to the INMP441 microphone module and Max98357 speaker module to ensure they only receive power when they need to.
- A 5.1 KΩ pullup resistor was added instead of using the ESP32 PICOs internal pull up which is 45KΩ to increase sensitivity of the SW-18010P Sensor.
