CloudBox

CloudBox

Overview

CloudBox is designed to reduce inventory shrinkage by tracking containers and their contents using an RFID reader, tags, and a database for storing this information. The system enables tracking across facilities and throughout an organization. Additionally, it automates inventory management, eliminating the need for time-consuming weekly or daily inventory counts. We filed two patents pertaining to the design and functionality of the product.

Manufacturing

I designed the components with manufacturability in mind, ensuring that plastic parts were optimized for injection molding and metal parts were engineered for stamping. Additionally, I collaborated with multiple suppliers specializing in load cells, RFID technology, injection molding, screens, and hinges. This involved assessing the suppliers capabilities, providing design specifications, and working closely with them to guarantee that each component met our functional, quality, and production requirements.

Product Design

I utilized Fusion 360 to create multiple CAD iterations, refining the design through an iterative process. Each version was prototyped, tested, and improved based on performance evaluations, ensuring optimal functionality, manufacturability, and durability.

Chief Technology Officer

I played a role in ensuring the company would have a bright future, making critical decisions that positioned it for long-term success. This included choices related to product design, manufacturing processes, supplier partnerships, and overall business strategy, all aimed at ensuring growth, scalability, and a strong market presence.

PCB Design

I collaborated with PCB designers in Pakistan to develop custom PCBs tailored to our specific needs. These PCBs featured an amplifier, along with multiple JST and FFC cable connectors to ensure integration with other hardware components. Throughout the process, I provided design requirements, reviewed schematics, and coordinated testing to ensure the final boards met our performance and reliability standards.
